Varanasi

Our trip to India ended with the city of Varanasi. A very mystic city where indian incinerated their deceased family member along the Ganges by burning big quantities of wood. Between 100 and 250 bodies are incinerated every day, all day and all night...

Jaisalmer

The fort of Jaisalmer is the only fort in India where people still live inside. That gives it a unique atmosphere with vendors everywhere. We stayed in a hotel inside the fort with next to our room, the "restaurant" which you can see on the first picture....

Udaipur and Jodhpur

The next 2 cities we visited were Udaipur and Jodhpur. I think they are the most beautiful cities we visited so far. The main attraction for both places are the old forts on top of the hill dominating the city around with huge wall and gigantic doors...

Amritsar

After spending two days in New Delhi, we headed up to Amritsar. The main attraction is the golden temple. A temple surrounded by water and recovered of gold. 750 kg exactly. But the beauty is not only in its architecture, it's actually mainly in the spirit...

Ajanta and Ellora caves

Respectively at 110 and 35 km from Aurangabad, the Ajanta caves and the Ellora caves are a series of temples directly carved in the stone where a solid rock used to be. They didn't carved pieces and put it them together like a regular construction but...

Hyderabad

In order to reach Aurangabad, we had to stop one night in Hyderabad. it's a huge city of 5 millions peoples. We visited a Golconda Fort and walked around the busy streets of the bazaar. Afin de rejoindre Aurangabad, nous avons du passer une nuit à Hyderabad....

Hampi

We took another night train from Mysore to Hospet, we then took a rickshaw to Hampi. After a bumpy road of 12 km, we arrived at an absolutely magnificent village. With 500 years old temples surrounded by a river, massive boulders, palm trees and banana...
